Program Notes from July 23, 2005 Meeting of LKWA

Annual Picnic
Tom and Lois Shearer home

The picnic started at noon. The weather was cool – much better than the recent 90+ heat. Fifty-eight persons attended. There were wonderful salads, great brats and burgers, and delicious desserts. We walked in the wetlands and talked about the history of the lake, and of our friends and families. Just as we were about to leave, it started to rain – perfect timing!

A top priority is to work on long and short-term goals. After surveying the membership, the board will set goals and then bring them back to the membership for approval.

Respectfully submitted,

Penny Shackelford
Secretary-Treasurer
